“The LifeBreath Book, Lessons in Life and Breath”
How many people would like to learn how to enhance their overall sense of well-being and achieve “radiant health, mental clarity, emotional peace and spiritual fulfillment?” Thousands of people throughout the world who have wanted to do just that – so many people, in fact, that Beth Bielat has authored a book entitled, “The LifeBreath Book, Lessons in Life and Breath” about how to achieve these states of well-being.
The book is about breathing techniques, understanding energy flow throughout the body and how to change one’s life for the better. The book teaches people, number one, the importance of breathing, and secondly, it teaches them HOW to breathe. Bielat has been training in the Martial Arts and ancient breathing techniques for over 36 years. She is a fitness professional, personal trainer, founder of LifeBreath Institute and Bushido Karate Dojo, and an inspirational speaker.
“I’ve been working on this book for about three years,” Bielat explains. “I was inspired to write it by all the wonderful people who have experienced the benefits of the breathing techniques I teach. Most people have no idea about the importance of healthy breathing. Breathing techniques can be absolutely amazing, and they can help change anyone’s life for the better. In my book, I explain why we need to breathe better and how it effects us, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I then go on to explain HOW to breathe better to improve all aspects of one’s life! I’ve created video tapes and audio tapes to help people practice these lessons on their own.”
“The fact that one must breathe to stay alive makes breathing synonymous with life. As we improve our breathing, we improve our lives. The simple act of conscious breathing helps bridge the gap between our human frailties and the divine. Watch a healthy baby breathe; you’ll see a perfect breath: connected, diaphragmatic, full and relaxed. As we grow older, we actually un-learn and restrict our breathing and, in order to obtain radiant health, we must go back to the baby’s breath. Understanding and practicing breathing may possibly be one of the most important things you do in this lifetime.”
“There are, basically, three sections to “The LifeBreath Book.” The first part explains how breathing and energy work in one’s body. The second part teaches the intricacies of the LifeBreath technique, and the third part teaches other breathing techniques, meditations and other exercises, such as journaling and creative and positive thinking. It’s all about creating an “upward spiral” in one’s life.

Learning how to breathe properly may be one of the most important health tools you may learn in this lifetime. Most people have restricted and/or dysfunctional breathing habits. These patterns can simply be from bad habits, poor role models, and incorrect concepts on proper breathing or actual physical disease.
Through LifeBreath, one can learn how to breathe more fully, balanced, fluid and healthier overall. During a LifeBreath class, we make sure our students understand proper, everyday breathing and then we experience the LifeBreath technique. LifeBreath helps to physical detoxify and energize us physically and also helps create more focus and clarity mentally. The technique also helps rid old, restrictive emotional patterns that effect our healthy and well-being. Also, breathing techniques have been used for centuries to help practitioners feel more spiritually connected and fulfilled.

Do You Hold Your Breath?
Do You Hold Your Breath?
“BREATHE!!!!” I must say that word and command its action at least twenty times each day. People hold their breath all the time. This creates tension and wreaks havoc on our bbilbody, mind and spirit. Most people have shallow, restricted or breath-holding habits that can be very detrimental for their health and well-being.
Interestingly enough, as a healthy new born, you probably had the best breathing patterns of your life. When you watch a baby breathe, her little belly, diaphragm, and chest fluidly move up and down in a balanced, easy way. On the other end of the spectrum, when I coach adults in their breathing patterns, I find they are often imbalanced, restricted, and uneasy. Believe it or not, your breathing pattern tells the story of your life.
Understanding why you hold and restrict your breath is an interesting study. It also allows you to work on breathing patterns, make sense of them, and make them healthier.
Here’s some food for thought on the “why’s” of restricted breathing patterns.
Social Influences – Our parents, relatives, friends and heroes have gotten into bad habits, too. As small children we begin to emulate those around us. Our parents command us to “sit up tall” so we automatically stick out our chests and suck in our bellies. Our heroes, male or female, do the same. We’re all walking around looking like Superman or a Barbie Doll – all puffed up and stiff.
Looking Thin - If you hold your belly in really tight, you’ll be thinner –WRONG!!! Watch any animal breathe, and you’ll see a fluid pattern that moves the belly, diaphragm and chest in and out naturally. Now, add tight clothing like belts, stockings, ties, and high heels and you’ll really get tight and uncomfortable.
Poor Posture - Our posture affects our breathing and our breathing affects our posture. When we slouch, curve, and have overall poor posture, our breathing can become stale, slouched and poor, too.
Stress - So many people hold their breath when they are stressed, thinking too hard, and when they exercise – maybe they think they’re going to be in pain or something?!?
Pain - Unfortunately, many people hold and restrict their breathing when they are in physical pain. However, a better response to pain is to breathe INTO it, not away from it. Think about childbirth and pain management classes - they teach you to breathe, not to hold it in!!!
Emotions and Emotional Trauma - Did you ever realize that every emotion has its own unique breathing pattern? When we are happy we breathe one way. When we are sad or grieving we breathe another way. We breathe differently when we laugh and cry. Every emotion that we experience registers in our body, and when we repress our emotions, it is reflected in our breathing patterns as well. Over time, continuous repression and “stuffing” of our emotions can create very unhealthy breathing patterns. We can even get caught up in the “fight or flight response” and become literally frozen from fear.
Ignorance - Most people just don’t understand how important their breathing is. We assume that we “just breathe” and the quality of that breathing doesn’t matter. Nothing could be further from the truth. Learning to breathe well could be one of the most important things you do for your health and well-being. Beth Bielat

Breathing Lessons
For thousands of years, sages of ancient civilizations have used the powerful science and inner art of breathing to master the human conditions of fear and illness and for attaining spiritual fulfillment. They discovered that through breathing, they had direct access to the energy of the universe. Breathwork is the very key to our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being. The fact that one must breathe to live makes breathing synonymous with life. As we improve our breathing, we improve our lives. The simple act of conscious breathing helps bridge the gap between our human frailties and the divine. Watch a healthy baby breathe – you’ll see a perfect breath: connected, diaphragmatic, full and relaxed. As we grow older, we actually un-learn and restrict our breathing and, in order to obtain radiant health, we must go back to the baby’s breath. Understanding and practicing breathing may possibly be one of the most important things you do in this lifetime,
Dr. Andrew Weil MD, expert on holistic health says, “If I had to limit my advice on healthier living to just one tip it would be simply to learn how to breathe correctly. From my oown experience and from working with patients, I have come to believe that proper breathing is the master key to good health.
Physically, conscious breathing techniques can be used to create better health, energy, endurance, enhance physical performance, prevent, manage and heal physical ailments and assist in graceful aging.
Stress and tension reduction are two very powerful reasons to focus on one’s breathing. Emotional master and well being are directly connected to our breathing patterns. We can not have mastery over our emotions without focusing on our breath. Through LifeBreath® Techniques, one can learn how to let go of the past, stop worrying about the future and truly live in the moment in a place with more joy, peace and happiness.
Breathwork helps create clarity, focused concentration, and enhanced mental/physical performance. Breathwork helps create the “relaxation response” that occurs through our mind to help relax our bodies.
Breathwork is not religious in nature, but it is spiritual, and can help you connect to your own personal spirituality, Many ancient civilizations and modern cultures use breathwork for spiritual connection and psycho-spiritual transformation.
Come learn about and experience LifeBreath®, better breathing, and how you can improve your life now and forever! Beth Bielat, founder of LifeBreath Institute and author of “The LifeBreath Book, Lessons in Life and Breath” will be facilitating the sessions. Learn to Breathe! That’s what all the leading holistic health practitioners have to say about your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. There is nothing more attached to life itself than breathing. And you can learn how to improve your life and your breathing by taking a class in “LifeBreath.”
Here’s what some participants have to say about their experiences with LifeBreath:
“I have had four heart attacks. I truly believe that LifeBreath came into my life to help me to learn how to relax, let go, and gain back my health. I have not had an attack since doing LifeBreath and my doctor can’t believe my recovery. He says he doesn’t know what the heck I’m doing, but just keep doing it.” SM

“The simplest and most important technique for protecting your health is breathing. I have seen breath control alone achieve remarkable results: lowering blood pressure, ending heart arrhythmias, improving long-standing patterns of poor digestion, increasing blood circulation throughout the body, decreasing anxiety, and allowing people to get off addictive anti-anxiety drugs and improving sleep and energy cycles.” Dr. Andrew Weil, M.D., clinical Professor of Internal Medicine, University of Arizona in Tuscan. Learn to Breathe
You might think that breathing is as natural as life itself, but in fact, many people breathe poorly. Poor breathing patterns develop from bad habits, incorrect posture, holding one’s breath (due to pain, stress, and emotional repression), and weakened health.
We will be holding monthly classes in a technique called LifeBreath® to assist members in their breathing. LifeBreath® is a high level and extremely powerful, transformational self-help tool that affects the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of its practitioners.
LifeBreath® is used to create physical health, energy, and endurance, and enhance physical performance, prevent, manage, and expedite the healing process of physical ailments, and assist in graceful aging. LifeBreath® has been used to mange pain and help in peoples’ healing processes.
Stress and tension reduction are two very powerful reasons to focus on one’s breathing. Emotional mastery and well-being are directly connected to our breathing patterns.
We can not have mastery over our emotions without focusing on our breath. Through LifeBreath®, one can learn how to let go of the past, stop worrying about the future, and truly learn to “live in-the-moment” in a place with more joy, peace, and happiness.
This technique helps create clarity, focused concentration, and enhanced mental/physical performance. Breathwork helps create the “relaxation response” that occurs through our mind/body connection that helps relax us.
LifeBreath® is spiritual in nature, and can help you connect to your spirituality. Many ancient civilizations and modern cultures used breathwork for spiritual connection and psycho-spiritual transformation.
To learn the LifeBreath® technique, one can attend a group class or participate in a private session. Once learned, individuals can “breathe” on their own and continue group or private classes. Attendees learn to improve their “everyday ordinary breathing”, and also learn to use LifeBreath® for stress management, enhanced energy, focus and creating a more connected, sacred life.
